Apparently I buy when I am bored!

Due to the lack of activities I have access to out here, I have been buying tack. Lol. Just thought I would share my bounty.

First up, an older breast collar. Excellant shape and good quality leather.

Secondly, I had been eyeballing a synthetic McClellan, but decided against it after reading some reviews. I was looking around for 14in saddles, and came accross a synthetic Big Horn. I have another Big Horn with the same gullet and bars that fits Mana, but it is brown suade and I am not a fan... So I am thinking this will fit the same since it has the same measuraments and is by the same maker. It has been my goal to get all black saddle, bridle, reins, breast collar and then super colorful saddle pads and other accoutrements. It helps that I only paid $67 for it too...

And then I just ordered this copper mix 1/4 moon mouth eggbutt.

Anyone else go on buying sprees lately? It's fun to finally get this stuff, but it's killing me that I don't get to play with it for several months!!

Share your recent purchases too!!

Oh my goodness. Can I just steal that breastcollar? It's gorgeous. :)

Also, that saddle? That's pretty much the exact same one (black too!) that I just bought (I got it!) for Lacey. So funny! Lacey and Mana, twins 4 lyfe.

But yeah, in the last week I bought Lacey that saddle, a fulmer snaffle, a breastcollar for her Aussie saddle, a older bridle that just needs some love, a heart shaped curry comb (cutest thing ever)...and I think that's it. The saddle should be here by next Thursday, then I'm going to re-cover the fenders with bright cloth (YES), and figure out/measure Lacey for a western cinch, and get her a western cinch. I have one for my other western saddle but do I really want to be trading cinches after every ride? No.

Anyway, yes, I shop when I get bored too.

And that's such a bummer you don't get to play with it for a while. Darn ND!

I know!! Isn't it great? Luckily the seller didn't know what they had (non horsey antique sellers) so I got it for a song. I wish I could remember what that style was called. Someone said it at some point on here and now I can't remember!!

That's cool!! You got the 15 in though, right? Then yours is a 101 and should have FQHB, this one is the mini-me 103 14in with QHB. You said you have an even smaller version? I need to see pics! That would be so cute!
And don't say twinsies!! There is already some speculation over Mana's masculinity!!

Yay!! New tack is fun! And don't worry, I have half a dozen western cinches! Which reminds me that I also bought a new english girth too. Hehe!
True that ND is a bummer, but I can't argue that it is good for tack hunting. Apparently there is a huge tack sale (and I mean BIG) right accross the street from me next week end. Bye bye money!!

AppyT, that saddle looks super comfy! Nice!

I did get a 15! I'm so excited about it.
Yeah! I do have a little bitty one for my lesson kids (it's just a 13inch so not super tiny). It has SQHB which Lacey isn't a huge fan of but I pad her up lightly so she has more room in there and she stays happy. I guess maybe it's the mini-mini me? Haha
I do need to take pictures of it sometime!
Haha well, if Lacey and Mana ever met, she'd make him feel like a man because she's a ridiculous flirt. One time I found her out in the field, with a gelding cornered, tenderly licking his shoulder. He was looking for any escape.

I want to go tack hunting with you! *jealous* Restatement of a previous facts: ND is awesome. Hahaha!

I like that bit-I've never seen one quite like it. Your other finds are great, too!

O.O! Oh goodness, that is hilarious! Poor guy was probably scared out of his mind. Not that Lacey isn't a gorgeous lady or anything, but she seems like she would wear the pants in a relationship!

Alright! Super special awesome crazy assignment for tomorrow; get pics of all your new goodies (and the super cute saddle). I need to live vicariously through everyone I can at this point when it comes to horses. LOL.

Totally! Git'cho booty out here and come hunting. ;)

Cacowgirl- Thanks! I thought it was pretty funky looking when I saw it at first too. (Which was just this morning, to be exact.) I had thought of going to a french link for some time, but I like that this offers some tongue relief as well.
Thanks again, I am pretty happy with my finds!

ETA: Just thought of it, Mana and Lacey? Would that make Lacey a cougar?

Long winters are hazardous to a tack junkies wallet. I know all about it.

Nice buys Grayshell38! I know the feeling, I just ordered new splint boots for my boy and to ease my guilt( I didn't really need them) and my parents, I said it was a early Valentines Day gift. Haha, I totally agree Saddlebag.
