So it is certainly an english style Bona Allen saddle. I am puzzled. It is not a saddle seat ... I have been told it is an old style jumper saddle ...

It could very well be an older style jumping saddle, although I'm leaning more toward a GP.

GP? What does that mean? What would this sell for?

Sorry, it means general purpose. Some people call them AP, which means all purpose. My Stubben Siegfried is a GP.

My best guess is that it's probably worth $150-$200. Not many people want the flat flaps any longer. They've been out of favor a long time.

It could even date back to the late 50's. Bona Allen also produced good plantation saddles and if I recall correctly those were the first saddles. This particular saddle was used for flat work, hunters and jumpers as there wasn't the assortment of styles there are now. Most of the earlier jumping saddles had to be imported, usually from England.

I also call it "All Purpose" haha, I know what you mean by GP though now. Is there anyway to find out how old this saddle is? I have actually ridden in it and it was fine, everything on it is in oddly great shape. Would it be worth more since it is older? How many are there?

I suspect this saddle will be more of a novelty item than a useful piece of tack - its quite out of style by today's standards and you're going to have a hard time finding a buyer for it for just general use. It may be worth between $150-$200 to the right person, but finding that person probably won't be easy.
