I'm sure other brands have some zipper issues as well, but if you get a chance to look at Ariat zippers they have very very small teeth, which are not strong. Not a great idea if you think about how much force a boot zipper has to endure as you're riding, esp with an ideally snug fit. Personally, I'm sick of Ariat boots but I can't find anything better.

Honestly, Ariat boots - in my opinion - Are always high quality. And the 3 styles (Heritage, Challenge and Crowne) all basically fit the same and look the same, minus the top line (higher port, lower port, etc.)

Love love love any Ariat field boots.

Whats the difference if it has zippers or no zippers?

Well a lot of people like the zippers because you don't have to pull them on and off or have boot pulls or a boot jack. But I don't like them because it seems to me that the zippers have problems and they don't fit everyone.

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I will bid on them and see where that goes. I'm still going to keep schooling in my Crownes.... mostly because I don't have a choice. Haha
