The first saddle I ever rode in was a stock saddle, then when I was all of 12 the girth anchors broke and I ended underneath Blaze while herding sheep. All I really remember was that it was comfy, smelled great and it helped me ride through a lot of emergency "holy-****-a-fence" stops. I'm almost positive it was a traditional type as described by Spot, with the english style stirrup bars and flocked panels, though I wouldn't have a clue what brand or even how old it is. Beautiful saddles though, and very popular here for trekkers (and a couple of racehorse pre-trainers I know use them for saddle desensitising). I'd certainly love to get my hands on another good one.
Blaze, myself, and one very old stock saddle.
