So I have owned two halters from Chick's Saddlery, the leather ones with custom name-plates... both have been great halters. I've had a brown one and a black one. The leather is soft and strong. I had my TB gelding turned out in his during the winter a bit and he scuffed up the name plate on the hay ring, but his name was still readable. The halter itself was fine and it didn't leave any marks on his face like some leather halters do. If any of you are skeptical of the quality of the halters, they're great halters, and this is a great deal for someone who has always wanted a custom leather halter! Had to share!
