Bates English Saddle questions

I am looking to buy a new saddle. My trainer likes the way I ride in a AP saddle. The CC that I have now slightly pushes me forward and the AP makes me sit just right. I am not a huge fan of AP saddles so I tend to keep looking. I found a Bates Elevation Nxt Gen Deep Seat CC saddle. Does anyone have or know of anyone who owns this saddle? What do you think of it? Both good and neg. Comments are welcome.

I don't have the Elevation but I do have the Caprilli CC and I love it. I can feel my horse move under me better than I could in my other saddle. It is very comfortable and very well made. I would suggest Bates to anyone. I don't really have any negative comments about it. The only I noticed is the holes on the billet straps seem to start higher up the strap than some of the other saddles I have used, so I had to get a little longer girth to compensate.

I have the bates elevation CC, and a wintec AP. Both saddles are pretty neutral, and your leg position will be based off of your own riding ability and conformation compared to the saddle (long flap, short flap, etc.). With that being said, the bates elevation I own is hands down the best thing I've ever ridden in, and lucky for me, fits my horses back like a glove!

There are other saddles that have interchangeable gullets though--like the Pessoa X-change, and I believe collegiate is running a few saddles with a wintec-like system.

Good luck!

I like my Bates Caprilli but am thinking of selling it only because it is a lighter chocolate color and my horse is a very dark bay. It fits great, but looks stupid. It is a very nice saddle though and does put me in a very good balanced position unlike about 7 others I tried out when I was saddle shopping years ago.
