Bell boots for XC?

My horse (a TB) gets rubs from her bell boots. I am planning on getting some with the fleece at the top...BUT - I am an eventer and I was thinking that the ones with the fleece would be bad for XC because if they got wet, got sand in them, etc. that they would rub even more.

Should I just use regular bell boots for XC? What about no-turns? Do those rub? What do you use on your chaffable horses?

Thanks,
VB

My boy has thin skin and gets rubs easily. I use the Professional Choice No Turns, and they work wonderful. They are quite popular boots in my area. They work well for me!

OK cool. My friend uses them and loves them, but I wasn't too sure....

Thanks! How much do those go for?

My guy also has very sensitive skin and I cant use rubber or fleece bell boots on him unless i want open sores, Id for sure try the Pro. no Turn bell boots. My old boss used them on her horses and they never moved or caused any rubs! Worth a try! And they come in pretty colors and patterns! Good luck!

Another vote for the Professional's Choice no turns. They're great. Never had a rub from them.
