Best ENGLISH saddle for trail riding?

I am looking for a new saddle and was wondering what you thought the most comfortable (and inexpensive) english saddle was for long rides. I used to have a wintec 2000 that I loved because it was so comfy to ride in, the only thing that bothered me was that it squeked too much. I really need something cheap (not cheap in quality though), and definitely would like something used.

Kincade makes very comfortable, affordable all-purpose saddle models. That is what you should look at, they are stunning in color and a great saddle for the price they are listed at. They typically run from $250 to $300, but you WILL NOT regret spending that extra money. It may be better to purchase secondhand as they often include leathers and irons and are already broken in, I have found secondhand saddles to be much more comfortable! Don't make the mistake of buying a "great looking saddle" that's cheap without trying this, a friend of mine has a gorgeous saddle that was $100 but it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE thing I've ever sat in. Ouch.

It isn't about finding a cheap saddle *as in price wise* it is about finding a saddle that fits your horses back properly.

I would say a Wintec All Purpose, but I don't know the shape of your horses back, withers, shoulders. Wintec Tree's are straiter than other models of saddles out there.

You might try looking into Australian Saddles - but again, I don't know the shape of the tree of the saddle, the panels, the gullet - and your horses back.

It's one thing to say "look at this saddle" but it is another to put the two puzzle pieces together and make them fit.
