Best Friends Bareback Pad

I've tried to get a saddle for my pony for ages now and today I got a young boy from the stables to ride him bareback as I have been doing it and find him mega uncomfortable, he has suchh a boney back! Anyway this boy rode him and he jumped him and everything bareback and Harry jumped soo well. So I thought, well people rode them bareback before they rode them with saddles, why not try bareback for a while? I can't afford another saddle at the moment so I was looking for an alternative. I've seen lots of saddlepads and this one seems to be the one everyone recommends.
Anyway so down to business, what are your thoughts on this thing.
Anyone tried this?

Best Friend bareback pad

I bought the western one for my daughter and she loves it.

I have the western style of the pad in question and it is a very nice pad. The only difference between the english and western styles is the western has a water bottle attachment and velcro pouch. Otherwise the cushioning and contours are all the same.

The suede is excellent for gripping the seat, and the pimply neoprene type backing on the pad and girth are truly non-slip and cushy. The pads cushions are contoured for the horses back and the rider, even the straps to the girth are backed with a soft suede for comfort. There are 2 other people at my barn with the same pad and we all agree it is an excellent pad for the price. It is also nice that it comes in a variety of colors!

It certainly can't hurt to try one, though I don't advise a bareback pad as a full time saddle substitute, if you are jumping and not extremely well balanced, you may end up putting a lot of pressure on your horse's mouth as you try to balance.

This is only short-term, I have found a possible new saddle for him. Also I don't do much jumping I only do it occasionally cause he really enjoys it like...once a week..if that? It was going to be longer term but I meant to say it was only till I get the money and time to search for a new saddle.
