Big Horn Cordura Gaited Saddle?

My new horse Milly has a very strange back/withers and I've found out that most of her behavioral problems most likely stem from the fact that most saddles wont fit her. I brought in pics and a wither tracing to the tack shop, and we were able to find a saddle that was in my price range (sorta lol) that will fit Milly perfect. However its synthetic and I've always heard bad things about synthetic. I really trust the lady I go to and she assures me that its a great saddle, but I wanted to double check on here and get opinions.

This is the same saddle I'm getting. 16" Big Horn Brown Cordura Gaited Horse Saddle High Withers 257

I have the saddle right and can ride in it for two weeks before I decide if I want to buy it. The owner of the shop says since she knows me and the budget I'm on, and due to the fact that the saddle wont fit most horses, she'll sell me it for the whole sale price, which is $450. What do you think/is it a good deal and worth it?

I know a couple people that ride walkers and like them Price seems pretty good. They are better quality than some of the leather/cordura blends. It is a bigger square skirt so it may or maynot work. It wouldnt work for my walker as he is short backed. I have heard pretty good things about the Fabtrons as well. But sounds like you are getting a decent deal on that one.

I have 2 Big Horn Cordura saddles, models #182 and #168. I also leased a horse for 4yrs that came with a #169. I love them. I have ridden wintec & abetta synthetics as well and do not like them at all. I haven't ridden a fabtron. I have not tried the gaited horse BH model, but the quality of Big Horn synthetics is excellent. I bought both of mine used. Typically they go for $300 used around here (Ontario) so 450 for new sounds good. Other pros: light , easy to clean, easy to 'break-in'.

It's what I call a hybrid - leather and synthetic. Leather whereever your bum touches. The Big Horn is an excellent saddle, strong stirrup system, good Ralide tree, etc. If you can get it for $450 you're getting a very good deal.

My issue is that no one around here rides in synthetic, and no one seems to like them. I've really had my heart set on a nice leather saddle. The synthetic just look...idk cheap or something. Is a good synthetic saddle really comparable to a good leather saddle?

dont waste your money,, Not saying they arnt good saddles but just from your tone you're not gonna be happy with it. The big horn, circle y, and fabtron leather/cordura saddles are pretty well made and alot of people especially women seem to like them for their lighter weight. Cordura is expensive and tough but less labor intensive to sew so lower labor costs.
Any time soemthing new comes along you will get nay sayers, Alot of the people you hear putting them down have never rode in them. The specific saddle you mentioned I have heard nothing but good things about. Butttttttttt I just dont like the way they look.
Save some bucks and look at the Dakota walker saddle. they run high 8's and a all leather and nice comfortable saddles.
