Big Horn and King saddles - any experience

Does anyone have/used Big Horn or King synthetic saddle? I'm thinking about getting one for the wet weather (as I don't want to screw my nice leather one).

P.S. Wintec, Abetta and Fabtron are out of consideration. Fabtron mainly because it doesn't fit my butt...

Big Horns are OK.

Stay away from a King Series, Royal King, Silver all those are imported from the same person, JUNK.

I bought a Southern Trails Saddle not too long ago, love it. Custom Made, the Cordura was 385.00 with all the mods.

Ditto.

Big horns seem okay not top of the lin ebut if its just a wet weather saddle it should be okay. Provided it fits your horse. :)

Big horns are good, I've owned 2. :)

I have a King training saddle--no synthetic--and it's not the greatest thing I've sat in, but it's decently balanced. Better then a lot of those cheapos on ebay, lol!

Thanks, folks! Of course, fitting is #1 always.

CJ, where did you get Southern Trails Saddle? I've never heard about this brand before...

My saddle is not synthetic, but I have a Big Horn limited edition show saddle - by far my favorite saddle I've ever rode in (To be fair I haven't rode in a Blue Ribbon or Chavez:))

I have a big horn but it's all leather. I love it, have had it for probably 15 years.

Yeah, leather can go forever. I like my leather one (it's Alamo) but the downside is I can't push myself to ride when we have showers or even drizzles. Lol! Cheaper synthetic probably won't make me feel that bad.

Val,

I was refereed by a friend, was a little skeptical at the low prices, but went over there and saw some and then ordered one. A long trip but worth it.

Their web is Western Saddles, Trail Saddles, Western Trail Saddle, Ranch Saddle
