Big Horn saddles?

Does anyone ride in or have owned a Big Horn western saddle? Looking at one but don't know a whole lot about this company; price seems pretty good - not the cheapest certainly, not the most expensive. Any info is appreciated!

Oh Cori, where are you? She loves her Big Horn saddle.

(just picking on you Cori, don't get mad)

In all honest, the Big Horn saddles are among some of the best on the market - the older the better - as long as they have been well cared for, which is true for any saddle, regardless of maker.

As with any saddle, though, you want to make sure the tree is nice and tight and the leather is in good condition. Check the seams and wear points. If I could find one to fit my backside, and could afford it, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

I used to ride in a Big Horn synthetic saddle and now I own a 1969 Big Horn. I actually bought my Big Horn because I loved the one I was riding in so much. I love them. I've ridden in tons of saddles that aren't Big Horn and I have to say that both of the Big Horns I've ridden in have been the most comfortable with the exception of a few saddles I've ridden in once or twice but am sure were worth a pretty penny.
Over all I've been impressed with them. I think I preferred the synthetic over my leather saddle, but my leather saddle still needs to be truly broken in which probably makes it less comfortable. Equitation-wise, I think the leather saddle puts me in a better place (should/hip/foot all lined up) but the synthetic wasn't bad at all.

In any case, they are well worth the money and I love them!

I tried one at the Expo and really liked it. It was very comfortable. However I don't ride western at the moment, so I didn't buy it.
