I was just given a custom Billy Cook saddle from a family friend. It is in good condition, but a bit dirty from storage. I have no intention of selling it but was wondering what the value of it would be? There is a cit in the seat, but that seems to be the only problem, and it doesn't affect riding in it. He bought it for $1500, around 4-6 years ago.
My daughter bought a used Billy Cook almost identical to that just a few weeks ago. It was made in the Greenville, Texas location, for $500.00, fully outfitted with a front and back girth. The seat is a lighter color.
$500.00 or $1500.00 though, you have a very nice saddle! Enjoy it!
I don't have anything to offer about the value, I just wanted to say that it's gorgeous! A friend of mine has a red leather saddle like that, and I think they're beautiful.
It does have quite a tall horn, it's super comfortable, don't know what kind of saddle it is, it has a high horn, but a low cantle and knife holder, just an odd trail?
I just bought an old billy cook original for 500 so seems to be par for the course
