So just a quickie. I have found the drop nose band for my horse and now i'm wondering should I wait to use it until I find him a new bit or would it be alright to use with a full cheek snaffle?

:) If I got a new bit I was just going to get a loose ring (without twists) so it would be milder.

That is all, Thanks :D

You shouldn't use a full cheek snaffle and a drop noseband together, I think. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

If you get a loose ring (PLEASE without twists!) make sure it's a 1/4" wider than you'd normally buy to avoid pinching. Maybe you could consider an eggbutt instead?

1/4 wider would make it a 6" but I was also going to get bit guards to avoid any lip damage.
And I'm switching out of a full cheek slow twist, so yes, I will be going for no twists in this one. I had him in a 5.5 already with no lip trouble, no pinching, no sign of pain (but it was too big in his mouth) so I'm just looking into getting thinner one (pretty sure the last one was a hollow mouth)

I have thought about an egg but, will decide as soon as I am ready to buy. Going to get a new bridal, bit and hopefully a saddle too :)
