at home, most of us will ride in an S-hack or english hackamore, im taking for races. im the newest rider to our little 'team', and they are usually just simple snaffles, some use kimberwicks. :P

i see what you guys mean. im wondering if i ought to pony up and buy a cheap one! haha.

the one i found on ebay last night for very cheap is gone way up in price litterally overnight! i see these are very hot.

I have the same problem with my 19 year old QH mare (One time i tried to put a bit in her mouth and she tore a piece of wood and a metal bar off).She is usually a good horse......yea right.I can't even put a halter on her in the pasture!, and on a young horse i would use a hackmore, then when she gets older try a real bit
