Black or White for my Half Pad?

So I am buying the Thinline Trifecta Pad with Shims - question is, what color to choose? I can't seem to make up my mind and so I turn to you Horse Forum.

I think the pro and cons are fairly standard.

White looks significantly better for competition on my flaxen chestnut boy (his mane and tail are white) but shows the dirt.

Black hides the dirt, but looks like a big black thing is eating up my pony.

We are going to be competing in low level dressage and eventing.

Thanks so much!

I didn't vote, because it's a matter of personal choice IMHO. But I have black Thinline pad. Any white I use looks dirty in no time.

Unless you're getting one for schooling and one for showing, go with black. If you get a white one and use it daily, it's not going to look good for showing anyway

I agree with verona on this one. The other option is buy a black one and if its a half pad you can put it under your white pad for shows. Thats what I do these days with my black fleeceworks

Thanks for all the help! I think I'm going to go with white - because I can show with it, but I'll be buying a cheaper (black) half pad for daily schooling - verona made an excellent point. Thanks for your help!
