Question Blanket altering

Hello everybody, I now blanket my horse all winter. At the moment his blanket is very dirty so I need to get in cleaned in the next week. When he wears it the part in the back is pooped on then its says there and gets on his coat(gasp!) so I end up with his disgusting back end. So can sew in a butt protecter to keep it clean? What sould I do?
Thank You
TaSiA

Happened to my horse too. I wormed him, and it stopped. Maybe your horse has worms?
