I want to blanket my horses but its been raining and they are all wet, I've heard that if you blanket them while they are wet it can cause skin probs for them is this true???

It's best to put them inside and let them dry naturally. They have a protective waxy dander that keeps the rain from touching the skin, unless they are arabians. You could lay thick towels on them to absorb excess moisture. Your blankets will soak up some of the moisture but will have to be removed shortly after they are put on or the horses will get chilled.
