Blankets.

So, my two girls need another blanket each. It's not that they need new ones, they need a second one, because one gets wet and I need another one for them so that the first can dry. So I decided I'd look around and figured I could most definitely get some online for about $40 a piece plus shipping would equal about $100.

I went with my friend to get hay today, and we stopped at the Farmer's Supply. Well, they had this adorable polka dot blanket, and I fell in love. It was $136 but it was 20% off. I decided if it wasn't already marked down and was 20% off the $136, I'd get it, figuring it would have already been marked down. Well, it hadn't been marked down. And what do I do? Buy one blanket for $106 plus tax. BUT, it's fantasmicalicious. It's got a high neck and shoulder gussets and a tail flap and it's waterproof and warmer than the one Ricci already has and I LOVE it!!

What do you think? I'll get better pictures in the morning, but still.

Hahaha! I'm really happy with it. I just love to have crazy striped, plaid, or polka dotted blankets, they're so much FUN!

I was SO going to get that one for my mare.. until I found a really nice NorthWind at Dover's tent sale for $60. Couldn't pass it up, although it's not nearly as "fantasmicalicious" as the polka dots :)

Haha, yeah. $60 definitely beats $106, lol. I'm happy though. At least I will be until I realize I'm short on money, haha.

Love it. I don't blanket my horses, but may have to start, just so they can look that great!

Oh, and you can kinda rationalize the price since you didn't have to pay for shipping, right? (I find arguments like this very helpful with splurge purchases. LOL).

I found one teeny tiny problem with this new blanket though... IT'S TOO WARM FOR HER TO WEAR RIGHT NOW!!! She sweats buckets, so she only wore it for one day and night. Poor girl was pretty sweaty when I checked her the next morning. How bad is it that I'm considering body-clipping her so she can wear my freaking blanket?! Haha. Just kidding. I think...

In other news, I did buy a rain sheet for Gracie last night on eBay. $50.49 after shipping. So I could have stuck to my budget but there weren't any blankets as cool in Ricci's size. =P
