So I have been wanting a new set however since mine is perfectly fine I was thinking why not just bling it up a bit? So my question to all of you guys is what would you do with my set and how? I wish it were a single ear but oh well haha post away :] My idea would be add 1 in clear and black or blue and black conchose to the top by the browband and then 1/2in or maybe 1 in also conchos to the bottom by the bit.For the breast collar I was thinking same color wise but 1in and 1 1/4 in. Im not sure how to add the crystals to the actual tack or i would do that also instead of the silver dots

I think different conchos would look nice. Maybe even with crystals in them? You can buy crystals wholesale for good prices and than glue them on with crystal glue. There is a member on here who actually blinged out my headstall and breastcollar with crystals. She is really good.

No clear coat, it will dull your stones. I alsobling out my own tack, Sierra and I have made many sets together.. You'll want to use E-6000 glue..The thing about any glue you use is that you want to keep the tack out of extreme temps. Like when you store your tack, when its really cold you'll want to bring it inside. When it's cold and you leave the tack in the cold the glue will dry and become brittle under the stones, when the glue is brittle it will be easy to knock a stone off...The site Barrel posted is also where I order my stones from. You can print out the size chart and hold it up to your tack to see what sizes you'll need. There are also many colors to choose from, if you are wanting to go with a "clear" stone I would get the AB stone, it is clear but when the light hits it the stone throws off many colors..Black stones will be dull and won't stay shiny long. It all really depends on personal preference and what you'd like your tack to look like. DEFINITELY remember to play with different looks before you start gluing stuff down..and make sure that the glue is completely dry before moving the tack.

If you need any help or have any other questions you can message me and I'll walk you through it.

I only asked about the clear coat as i hears it mentioned somewhere else. The AB stone is what i meant haha i love the way they throw different colors. So you think light blue and the ab would be a better bet ? Its just an idea i may leave the black out. Im pretty sure 1 in for the bridle and maybe one size up for my breast collar? The site is a bit confusing for colors so how do i know im getting what i want?

What do you mean by 1in? Like 1 inch? Probably the best size stone for you to use will be the 16ss..Leaving the black off is probably a good idea, it will take all of the shiny away from the other stones.. I'll go look at the color chart..

EDIT.. I've recently used the Light Sapphire on a set I made for someone, it's a very pretty light blue. I also like the Glacier Blue and the Aquamarine..

Would it be worth getting the sample card? And theres a lady that sells tack and stuff at our gymkhana that had some different sized conchos and the 1 inch appeared to be the best fit however i will be sure to print that off. Also should i buy new conchos altogether or use the ones i have now..they are kinda cheapy.

If they are cheapy and you think you would like others I would go ahead and see what new conchos you like. If you are really unsure about the colors I would order the sample card. I never have but I've seen most of the colors in person.. The size chart I posted earlier is just the size of the stone, not the concho.. If you have a one inch concho you'll want to hold the size chart up to the concho to see what size stone you'll need to fit the concho.

You're welcome, and definitely, if you have any questions feel free to message me.. Also, just thought about something.. If you have any craft stores near you (Hobby Lobby, Micheal's)..places like that..You can go and ask if they have any Swarvoski crystals? They usually do and you can see the colors in person there..It is way cheaper to order offline but you can see them in person at the store and get an idea of the sizes and colors..
