    Question Boots and Jumping

I've just been exploding random questions all over the forum, so I apologize for yet another post!

Anyway, last summer, my friend and I started working on a cross country course, and we'll be trailering out to a park to ride there as well.

I really enjoy jumping, and so does my mare. Right now, when I know we'll be jumping a lot or doing larger jumps, I put her SMBS on her. They're kinda old, but still in good shape. (I know SMBS are not ideal for long periods of time, or jumping really. It's just all I have at the moment)

What are some good boots to jump in? I'm going to an expo next weekend, so I figured I should get some names in my head.

Woof boots are great ! They usually run about $35 a pair

    Yearling
I agree with gypsygirl - used Woof (brushing) boots for years and they've been fine in terms of wear and general protection. And they're a good price. My wife bought our first pair and having always used leather boots before I said 'Huh - they won't last long'. They lasted through two horses - about fifteen years!

I think SMBs are excellent but more for support than knock-protection. But I don't really like their overreach boots - they're TOO good, and having once had a horse almost fall from stepping on a bell boot I still use the old petal-type overreach which are quite hard to find nowadays.

    Happy shopping :)
