Boots for an Overreacher with Lots of Movement

Hi, I'm new here but have a question regarding boots. My Arab gelding has a lot of movement in his right front. He makes a wide outward sweeping motion and often whacks his fetlock/ upper pastern on the railing/ anything nearby. I got him bell boots already for his overreach but don't know what to get him for his legs. He also whacks his legs together (not as much now as he's learning), so splints didn't seem to be enough. I wanted to try openfront boots but I'm worried about doing more damage than good. Can I hurt him by putting boots on him, tendon-wise? Should I do openfronts or not? I don't want the movement to go away, it's not a flaw or pain but the way he gaits and it's very unique. I plan to train him in dressage and slight hunter but don't plan to jump him yet. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks in advance.

Ride him in brushing boots or dressage boots. Get some good quality ones.

Honestly movement is good but if he is interfering let alone hurting himself it's not. On one specific leg? That is not normal.

Talk to your trimmer or see a vet. He may have a conformation flaw also.

Movement is good but it's not an excuse for stuff. There are plenty of gorgeous movers that are capable of doing so properly.
