Who makes a good boot that will work well for riding western style, but will also work very well, for hiking and climbing in the wilderness?
I've worn lots of western boots over the years, and no way would I attempt to really hike in alaskan backcountry with them. I'd need a pair with substantial soles, ankle support, and comfort for putting long miles on them. Waterproof would be a huge plus as well.
I'm wondering what the old time packers/drovers really wore?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions...
