Question Boots/Wraps

Hi!! So, there seem to be alot of different kinds of bootts/wraps out there. What are they all for and what kind of protection do they offer?? Sorry, I know this is kinda broad, please excuse me.

Also, which boots/wraps are good for trail riding??

I don't wrap for trails unless it's going to be a workout session. If you do, SMB's are great.

I have black Woof splint boots for all 4 legs Woof All-Purpose Boots - Dover Saddlery. . Got them as X-mas present, didn't use yet (used no-name brand before).

I also have pair of leather splint boots (also X-mas present) and dyeing to try those. :)
