Braided nylon reins

I have a headstall for Aires, but I need a set of reins. The only ones my friend had extra were a pair of really thick cotton split reins. I prefer English style reins that are one piece or with a buckle in the middle and I don't want anything really thick and unwieldy (the ones my friend has are VERY unwieldy). I was looking at the reins Cam, the BO, is using on the bridle he's using to break Aires and I really like them. They are nice soft nylon and are braided, but aren't flat, they're more square. There are no knots in them, like there are in barrel or roping reins, and they have clips on the end. The ones he has are green, but I'd really prefer red (red is kind of our color ).

Anyway, here's a pic of them (basically shows the weave):

Does anyone know where I can find reins like these? I tried eBay, but all they have are roping/barrel reins with the knots and not square, but flat.

No, but I can make you some out of baling twine.

Is orange close enough?

They look to me like square braided parachute chord reins. I have a pair in purple that I ordered off ebay about a year ago. You could probably have some custom made, or I found some at this website:

Rope & Nylon Reins

Hope this helps

Those are perfect, JumpingBean! They even have black and red (Aires' halter is black with a red stripe through it). Woot!
