Breast collar too small?

Hi. I recently bought this breast collar : Triple E Patriotic Nylon Straight Breast Collar at State line tack website. I tried it on my gelding and I think it might be too small where it comes in the middle where the ring is. It comes really close to his throat/neck flab area even when I put the side straps on the lowest setting. Is this normal or is it too small? My boy is a QH 15.2 gelding.

It sounds like it could be to small for him. As mentioned above a picture would help. How many fingers can you fit between the collar and his chest?

I agree, a picture would definitely help but it does sound like it might be too small for him. For nylon tack, even though it doesn't look great as a fix, you can get a dog collar that is the same color and width as your tugs and use them as an extension to make them longer so it will fit.

There's your problem, not that the collar is to small, just to much flab *SIGH* just like me buying jeans.

Ok never mind. I got this girl across the street to help me out. It does fit, I just had it adjusted wrong.
