I'm looking to buy an English breastplate for me and my dude come spring/summer, and I'm wondering what you guys would suggest. :) I need something cob sized, in a nice rich dark oakbark/havana colour. Something nicely padded would be a big plus, too! I'm a student graduating in June and don't have a whole heck of a lot of money to invest in one, but I'll pay a bit more for something really quality. Ideally it'd be something around $50-$70 tops. Also, I really don't like the idea of ones that are mostly made of elastic...a bit, I can deal with, but not huge pieces.

Let me know what you guys think & suggest! Thanks in advance!

Green Broke
I'd invest in a Nunn finer. They have havana or black options and cob sized thru oversized. You can choose between silver or brass too. They also have elastic or no elastic options. It is worth the investment. I have both the elastic and non elastic and they have lasted a good 5 years now at least without so much as a crack.

Nunn Finer also has great customer service. Any defect and they replace the part or the breastplate for free.

This is what I use, I love it. But I realise we're not in the same country so whether you can access sabre leather I don't know?

I really like the look of that Nunn Finer one! I'll keep that in mind for sure :)

Maesseren, I could probably get one shipped here, but it'd cost me an arm and leg I'd imagine. :(
