buying a cheap saddle

Recently I have gotten the desire to get a saddle for my horse but I have a low budget, idealy I only want to spend under 200 but if I have to I will go to 300, does anyone know where I could get a bighorn cordura for around that price. The seat needs to be 16.5 or 17, and have full quarter horse bars. Any assistance will be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

The two places that come to mind are ebay and tacktraders. Have you tried there?

Just keep your eye open. You might consider an Abetta saddle. They come in 17" seat sizes and their regular tree fits a wide variety of horses. They do have a "wide" tree as well. Abetta's basic "All Around" square skirt saddle in a 17" seat is $345 new from this web site: Abetta Cordura All-Around Saddle I have an Abetta endurance saddle and it lasted many years of hard riding. It's still usable, just not as pretty as it was new, lol.
