Buying off Ebay

So I am currently bidding on a saddle off of ebay. Has anyone else bought tack off there? The saddle is cheap! Especially compared to other online retailers and tack shops. The only problem, you don't know the exact size measurments of the gullet or where the shoulders would go. But, for that cheap, if it doesn't work, I could always resale it. Lol

What seller?

I bought one on ebay that was only $300. I got it last week and it's actually much nicer than I was expecting for that price. The seller has a website that had saddles and tack for cheap too. It's THE WORLDS LARGEST SADDLE SUPPLIER

I suppose buying on ebay is a "You win some, you lose some" situation though.

Good luck!

Their name is smallhorsetack. I will have to check out that link you posted. I noticed some breast collars that were cheap as well compared to the supply stores around here.

I got a saddle two years ago. Just a cheap one. Really nice. I buy a lot of my stuff on ebay! You can ask the seller questions about the saddle.

I just bought one a couple weeks ago on ebay..LOVE it! But it is currently relisted, since it doesn't fit my horse.
I buy there all the time. You do have to be really careful-there have been several name brand saddles for cheap lately that were in India which I would stay away from. But there are some great values there for sure!

My saddle is a 15.5 Potts longhorn if anyone is interested.....it is a real classic.

I don't like eBay. I was ripped-off there several times (not on saddle, but other stuff), and most "cheaper" stuff I got there was on junky side. I prefer to use Amazon - it's easier to deal with returns.

Amazon has horse stuff? I've never been on there. Wouldn't mind looking at that.

Well, I was talking about stuff in general - I buy lots of things off there for myself, house, presents, etc. :) Amazon has some horse stuff for sure, but it's not the best place to shop for horse stuff IMHO. I rather go with the Internet stores (like valleyvet, jeffersequine, dover) and wait till they have sale on what I want (like JeffersEquine will have 10 days of X-mas when certain things are on sale for 40 - 60% off).

Oh gotchya. I like some of valleyvet stuff. I'm looking at it from a magazine but wonder if it is made cheap. You know? I never ordered from them because I wasnt sure of their stuff.

I buy a lot on ebay. I usually only buy brand names I know and if it is a saddle (yep bought a couple off there) I get all the info I can and ask lots of questions.
