Buying a saddle... size?

I've only borrowed saddles so far, and I found a great deal on a 16". The problem is idk if it would be too small... I'll post photos for you to help me. It is the same brand and everything as the saddle in the photos, just an inch smaller. Could it work? THANKS!

The flaps on a 16" saddle are usually made for a petite teen or older child rider. Unless your 5'4" or less, it would not likely work. You look like you need a 16.5" or 17" saddle with longer and straighter flaps if you always ride with that stirrup length. Your knee should be in the middle of the padded area on the flap, not behind and below it.

That saddle also doesn't look like it fits your horse. It's not balanced very well, too high in front or too low in back. That usually means the tree is too narrow in front, making it sit too high. However, it does appear too far forward, which will effect the fit. The front d-ring (where it screws in to the saddle) should be 2-3" behind the back edge of your horse's shoulder blades.
