Can someone explain to me

What draw reins are used for? Can you provide me with a correct example of how they are supposed to be used?

There are a few people at my stable that sometimes hack in them, but to me, it doesn't look correct. I just see a bunch of horses travelling around on their forehand with their heads tucked in.

Please! Someone enlighten me!

To the best of my knowledge, it's a training aid. This is the best I found on it.

This is a really great article on Draw Reins:

It's a useless gadget in my opinion. If a horse is truly coming through from behind, it becomes light on the forehand and the head does not need to be held in position by a piece of unforgiving leather. I hate those things...can you tell? (hee hee) If I see someone using draw reins, I have no choice but to assume front to back riding.

^ I disagree, I have seen many people use the for other things rather then keeping a horses head down constantly, haha a gadget with many uses!
