Can you help me pick out a new saddle pad?

Hello, I'm looking for a new saddle. The horse I would use it one the most is my mare that has had a back injury, but is back on her feet, and is ready to work again. I want something that will keep feeling good. I barrel race, contest, and I will use it for a long time. I was looking at the Impact Gel pads, and what wondering what anyone thought of them. I don't know anyone around where I live that owns one. So if you could give me some helpful opinions I would appreciate it! Also, I would like some opinions about 5 star pads, and Tod Slone saddle pads. Thanks! :)

I like my Tod Slone and my BO really likes her 5 star and she recommended both for me but I just happened to find a Tod Slone for a good price. I have no experience with the Impact Gel Pads but I don't here very many bad things about them except the gel gets hard in the Winter. (haha)
