Has anyone rode this saddle trail riding? How much support does this saddle give the horse on long rides?? Any info. Would be great!

I almost bought one, but now that I think back, I'm SO glad that I didn't. They don't have a tree, so therefor, weight isn't distributed, and it's all synthetic. I would say save yourself 150$ and just get a bareback pad instead because they are the same thing basically.

I have one and haven't used it in quite a while. When I did use it though I found it to be very comfortable but really disconnected you from your horse. The paddung on it is so thick I had a lot of trouble getting any leg on at all. As for the weight distribution it does better than a bareback pad, but not as good as a (properly fitted) treed saddle. I also had to do some modifications to it to accomdate my horse's high withers; I cut out a lot of foam from the underside and also cut our a channel down the spine, which helped with stability. If you are going to use it for anything more than flat work I highly recomend using a good and snug breast collar. If you're going to get one, try and find a used one that has been stored inside.

I had one and promptly got rid of it. I thought it was unsafe. I rode it without the stirrups since I did not trust it not to slide. The rings that the stirrups hang from are right under your thigh and the "oh s**t " strap isn't positioned well, AND the neoprene flap that conver the girth will roll up under you when you are getting on if you get on by clambering on ungracefully, like I do. I love most Cashel products but not this one.

If you want to go with a closed cell foam (which is veeeery comfy I would say go for the cashel bareback pad.
