ponyjocky, I'm afraid your definition of "nice" can be very different from mine. Even if you gonna soak the whole bridle in oil for week it won't change the quality of the leather (been there done that).

The differences in leather is usually the tannage. Asian leather is often urine tanned. NA leather is vegetable tanned. English bridle leather is oil stuffed during the tanning process. Then there is the quality of thread to consider, plus any metal hardware. Cheap saddles, or parts thereof, seem to break at the most inopportune times and the rider hits the ground.
