Talking Cheap No Bows (its not a sale thing, its a question)

Ok so, this is a very cheap thing for me to do, but why not if it saves money. I know that No Bows (the quilted ones) are just cotton. Now, I have a huge peice of cotton material. It has bears on it :/ but its a barrel race not a beauty contest. Anywho, I was wondering if I could cut a peice out big enough to double or triple the fabric and make no bows. They would be cheap and all but they would be cotton and I have standing wraps to put over them.

Thanks guys (and gals) please don't think I'm a cheapo, just trying to make use :)

What peice of equipment are you talking about? I don't think I've ever heard of 'no bows.' Can you post a picture?

Google Image Result for http://images.nitrosell.com/product_images/7/1719/large-55601.jpg

That is a no bow. I want to attempt to make these using this huge peice of cotton material I have.

Are you planning on actually running in them?

I mean I don't really see why you couldn't try making them though, they're simple enough. They aren't just a thin piece of cotton fabric however, they're more like...a thin layer of foamy material between a cotton fabric that is stitched together.

No, I will use them as standing wraps.

Perfect because that's their purpose! Just wondered because you mentioned "it's not a beauty contest it's a barrel race" and had images of you trying to run in them haha. I bet you could google a pattern (it's really just a long rclectangle tho) or use one you already have as an example, good luck!

Try SuitAbility....They have patterns for a lot of stuff.

I just tried their website to see if I could actually find it, but it isn't working for me.

NM....it was being slow. It is a whole "show set" but it does have patterns for the quilted wraps, as well as the bandages.

Those are what I was picturing!

If you're handy with a sewing machine, I say go for it. The inside is cotton batting, and the outside is plain cotton material. Good luck!
