    Cleaning rugs!

    Hey,

I'm just after some helpful hints in keeping the lining of rugs clean. Obviously a clean horse and a clean rug are the best option, but most of the time neither one exists in harmony!

Just wondering what people use to keep their rugs clean and how often do you clean it?

I have hopefully got a show in March and so aiming to ensure my horse's new and already dirty rug is clean.

    Thanks!

I use a waterblaster on all my covers, inside and out - even the synthetic polyfill ones. Just don't get too close or the strength of the water will put holes in the material. Anything that's in use around me gets a good clean once a year, just before storage for summer/winter.

Otherwise, you might be able to use a clean body brush (depending on the lining, some of the longer ones don't take to being brushed out very well).
