Cleaning Synthetic Leather Gaiters

Hey, I just bought a pair a synthetic leather gaiters. I haven't used synthetic leather before so I am wondering whats the best way to keep them clean and in good condition. Should I use the same sort of sprays used for synthetic leather saddles or just wipe them down with a sponge? Or any other tips annd things people have for keeping them in good shape.
Thanks!

Mine say to toss in washer but hang to dry. I haven't had to clean them yet, so can't say I've tested it yet. I'd probobly start by just test rinsing or rubbing a section first. Mine are really grippy so I wouldn't want to damage that.
