Lightbulb Confused

I have been looking for a saddle and not having any luck. I am thinking of getting a custom Antares. Does anyone know what I have to do. I know my local Antares dealer I just don't know what goes into this. Eg.what do I need to tell them. Does anyone know?

Can you bring your horse to them or do they have a saddle fitter that can come to your horse?

Worst case scenario, call them up or stop by to talk to them. Ask them what they need to know.

It says on their website that you make an appointment with one of their representatives and discuss it with them. I'd imagine that would be a good idea if you're confused, they'll be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

It seems, although I could be wrong, that these saddles have a range of measurements you can choose from and then the saddle is made, rather than the truly "custom" where a saddler builds a saddle to fit your horse and you.

You can call and make an app with the saddle fitter who works your area. They will have you ride in a bunch of different saddles and custom fit the one you order for your horse! Give Voltaire-design a look too if you haven't set on Antares yet....I have a Devoucox now ( which I do love) and I rode in my trainer's Voltaire and I was so IN LOVE I customed order one for my new horse!!!!! They are taking my Devoucoux in trade!!!!!!

I have Voltaire and swear by it. I won't ride in anything else anymore it's amazing! My friend owns ISellTack.com and has great high end used saddles and will help with fitting and does trials also if you want to check out her stuff!

I can't believe your friend owns ISellTack.com!!! I'm always looking at that site drooling!!!!!! I'm so excited to hear about your love of Voltaire!!! Mine should be in around Feb!! I can't wait! The Devoucoux I have now does not fit my horse as well as I would like and I feel like I can't get my leg around him or keep it supportive...SSOOOOOO annoying!!!! And my horse will NOT help a girl out, he's a bit lazy and quirky (great combo when you don't feel like you have a strong base of support!!). But when I rode in the Voltaire I felt so balanced and like I could actually ride!! He loved it because he had so much more movement in this shoulders!!!!! Voltaire will always get my vote!!!!!!!
