Contoured saddle pad?

SO I want to buy Sky a western saddle pad. I want to get something contoured (the current one I've been borrowing is contoured and we both like it) and in turquoise to match his colors. The only thing I can find is either in felt or in wool. Do y'all think it would be too hot in the summer? The one we are borrowing now is a neoprene but I'll be danged if I can't find one in the color I want AND contoured.

I have a 5 star contoured which I lOVE. It is black, and only 3/4' thick so that I can put any pretty pad I want on top. Breathes much better than anything else in the heat.

Kind of bumping this up cause I have a few questions myself.

Do people prefer a wool, felt, or neoprene/gel/etc. for the base of the pad?
Are there any pads you recommend?

I know Amanda (the OP) had a few that she asked me to look at but I have no experience with them so can't really be all that helpful lol.

I like my fluffy saddle pad ;D

But I am looking into a better summer one :)

I am team contoured all the way, I hate the big square ones :/

Sky, I thought you rode English?

And I'm happy with a good old mustang pad so I would go with the first one just because I love that turquoise...but that's just me! Obviously the more expensive ones are better quality :)

I do!

But my lessee rides Western (the OP) :) And so we found a western saddle for Sky and we're slowly getting him western stuff, including his own custom headstall which will be done tomorrow.

WesternBella-she does :) I ride western on him and we're trying to build his western tack a little since she wants to continue with it when she comes home as well as Dressage :) We wanna stick with turquoise on the pad since his western colors are turqoise and brown-I really like that first one too!
