Customer Service experience with Internet stores

Just want people to share the experience.

As I mentioned in many threads I buy from valleyvet.com, jeffersequine.com, doversaddlery.com, and used to buy from horse.com, horselovertz.com, and couple other places I don't remember already.

The best service ever was/is in valleyvet.com. Besides lots of items there have free shipping, they usually ship it same or next day and deliver surprisingly fast (3 days or so, which is super for the free shipping). I also had a customer service rep called me once when I ordered the vaccines and didn't pick the 2-day delivery to be sure it's indeed what I wanted. He ended up putting extra bag of dry ice for me and sending all vaccines next morning, so they wouldn't stay in box in UPS facility extra-night.

Jeffersequine and dover are nice, but take quite long to deliver (espeically true for the dover).

I like Legacy Tack and Adams.

I do like Dover as well, but will only buy from them if I have a shipping coupon as I think their shipping rates are high.

Hi,

Not sure where you are all situated but I buy everything from Stal Amani. I've found them to be honest, efficient and they carry some really nice stuff. I especially love their pony section (pity I don't have ponies!). Shipping is very reasonable too:

Horse Products | Stal Amani Shop

I can't recommend them enough.

I purchased most of my items from Adams Horse Supply. Excellent service (even have called to chat about saddles), free ship over $100 (not hard to manage, lol) and they are always the cheapest pricing.

I have also shopped ValleyVet, SmartPak Equine, Chicks Saddlery and Equestrian Collections for items Adams doesn't carry and have been happy with all of them.

I purchase 70% of all my equine related items online.

I have had great customer service from both Country Supply (which is horse.com) and Valley Vet.

I think I am switching most of my ordering to Valley Vet though, because they have better tack. I love Country Supply and they are great for dewormers and fly products, but it seems like lately they are getting out of their better tack and adding more junk tack (especially when you look at their saddle line lately).

Valley Vet has similar prices on dewormer, maybe just a dime or two higher, but if I plan to order a tack item along with my dewormers and fly control, I will definitely choose Vally Vet! Plus, Valley Vet often has free shipping and Country Supply charges shipping now.

By the way, I placed my first order from Valley Vet last fall because they had Classic Equine Alpaca cinches and Country Supply did not. So I ordered one and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that cinch!

It is super soft and doesn't have the "stretch" that all of my other mohair cinches have. I usually have to buy a smaller size to factor in the 2 or so inches of stretch but this cinch didn't really seem to stretch. I don't know if that is the Alpaca fiber, or because Classic Equine makes a better cinch. Either way, if I ever need to order another cinch, I am getting another Classic Equine Alpaca. It also seems to stay cleaner than my mohair cinches. You know how after a while when the horses sweat your cinch gets really dirty and kind of gummy? Well, I know it is winter and all, but this cinch seems to stay a lot cleaner than my mohairs so far. I wash my cinches whenever they get dirty, and I haven't had to wash the Alpaca cinch yet.

I just thought I would mention a positive plug on the Alpaca cinch because I had trouble finding any reviews of the Alpaca fiber cinches vs. regular mohair. I'm sure the Classic Equine Mohair is nice too, I really like their products!

I just ordered for the first time from Jeffers Equine, do they always have free shipping or is it just the first buy?

I'm a big smartpak fan, if I'm buying a lot of stuff. They always seem to have a good selection and good prices. Their flat rate shipping is great when I'm placing large orders. I order from Dover when I can find things on clearance, particularly when I have trouble finding things in the right size. I always search for promo codes online before I order anything from any site! I also recently ordered from 123tack.com who currently has a free shipping offer, and really great prices on their stuff. The only disappointment was that two of the things were on backorder, which didn't reflect when I placed the order. I hate sites that don't have live inventory.

I used to buy from horse.com too all the time. But the quality seemed to be not so good. Even same brand seemed to be worse quality then what I bought in other places (I guess it depends on who is the supplier). I found valley vet when I was looking for vaccines and just switched there since that. They have great prices (although not so much English tack, unfortunately).

I believe if you are over $49 or something like that.
