I had a Derby Originals Aussie saddle, for about a week, lol. The first time my husband got on the horse, using a mounting block mind you, the stirrup bar BENT! Since we had it past the 3-day return period, Tack-Wholesale.com wouldn't let us return it. They said the bent stirrup bar was OUR fault! Ugh.
I really hate Tack-Wholesale.com. I got couple things from there and they were just VERY poor quality (and of course was too late to return when I realized it :( ). Make me wonder whether the brands they have indeed are the brands, or just something made up in China or India or Mexico with a label.
Here is a link to the saddle that I am about to be purchasing...the lady said she would take $125 for it plus shipping. She has only ridden in it once. I have heard some really good reviews on it as well as the bad ones.
If you want to risk it... They are built on fiberglass trees which don't always fit well or hold up. The leather is stiff cardboard waterbuffalo that is chemically tanned. It will scratch & scuff up easily and does NOT take oil.
Also keep in mind that those endurance saddles run 0.5-1" SMALL because of the seat padding.
I have never heard anything good about this brand. I would not risk it. If your price range is in the low end, go for a used high quality saddle. It will already be broken in and you will be much happier in the long run. There are numerous used saddle websites. Here are a few that I haunt. Also, I think all of these allow you to take the saddle on trial, to make sure that it fits you and your horse
