I've noticed lately that I haven't been seeing hardly any new Crosby tack for sale. Horseloverz and Dover both no longer carry anything Crosby, and I haven't seen any new Crosby saddles anywhere. I've seen a few new bridles and martingales on various sites and that is it. Collegiate seems to still be going strong, but I was wondering if Weatherbeeta finally dropped Crosby.
Is Crosby still a brand at all or did they sell it, maybe?
I don't know. But the old Crosbys before Weatherbeeta came to own the brand name were all made by Walsall Riding Saddle Company which makes Exselle. That may have come under the Ideal umbrella now. I think Ideal bought out a lot of manufacturers.
Crosby was a brand name of Miller Harness Company and Miller was bought by English Equestrian Group in the early 2000s, as were Eiser's and Whitman and others. Then EEG went bankrupt and Weatherbeeta ended up owning the rights to several of the Miller brand names like Collegiate and Crosby.
