Smile Difference between Wintec Models?

Hi guys,

I was wondering what the difference between the 250 and 500 models of Wintec. My friend is looking at buying one and wondering what the difference between the two are (other than price).

Thanks

I though the only difference was the 250 didn't have the interchangeable gullet system but that doesn't seem to be true.

Here is a comparison chart: http://www.wintec-saddles.com/produc...Comparison.pdf

The "New" wintecs are a massive improvement on the old banana shaped ones, really they are fabulous saddles, the old ones can be pretty awful.

I looked at that chart and it seemed that what used to be the old Wintec 500 is now the Wintec 250.

However there also used to be an old (15 years ago or so) model called the 250 which didn't have the interchangeable gullet system. If you're talking about the new ones, I'd imagine the cut is different, as well as the knee pads. I like the look of the new ones, the seat looks more balanced, and there looks to be a larger panel surface area, however many people had the old model and I wasn't a fan, but it was reasonably popular.

Question Do Wintecs fit thoroughbreds?

I currently have a deeper seated saddle that is not the most comfortable and so I was thinking about selling it and getting a wintec instead. The horse that I ride most is a thoroughbred and I have heard that wintecs only fit horses with flat backs. I am thinking about the wintec close contact or the wintec 500 jump. Does anyone know wether or not they fit a thoroughbred back?
Thanks!
Sorry is this isn't in the right place I couldn't figure out any other way to post something
