Long distance riding is what I enjoy. My young mare outgrew the wide Tucker Trooper I'd been using. She is to big for the current Trooper and even after having it resized it's still to narrow and bridging (poor sweat pattern in the front, dry in the center and good sweat pattern on the reaar). Can't get the bar spread wide enough for the cross breed withers.
Apparently a 14" bar spread is more than Trooper saddle makers can manage.
I can get saddles that fit, but apparently not the kind of saddle that work best for the long distance riding I love. Less worried about my butt (saddle covers are available) than I am for the backs of my horses.
Anyone have any good saddle makers that can manage this?
