They do definitely make it easier to get into the right position. I'm glad you liked your ride. I have a County Stabilizer (basically built, as I said, for a fat baby pacaderm) and somehow it makes it seem like I'm on a narrower horse, so I don't feel like I'm doing the splits every time I ride. Basically, County is great.

well... I guess I'll go with the monoflap then! Does anyone have a favorite brand of monoflap saddle that you like the best!

Not a Wintec fan esp if you are wanting to do higher level stuff. For the lower comps and heights a wintec would be fine. Try a few saddles out to see what you like, I have a colleigate which i really love (and it didnt break the bank) and its super comfy and has the changeable gullet system.

I love Colleigates. Don't know if you have them in the US, but they are amazing and they aren't all that expensive.

We do :) I have one. It's veh nice.

I'm majorly jealous of my sisters Butet, but that is a whole 'nother league of saddle entirely. But it is just sooooooo comfy your butt just like... melts when you sit in it xD And its super grippy too. That is like... my dream saddle.

I would love a Devoucoux Chiberta, but they're 4k+. The Vegas look nice, but I haven't ridden in one yet. HDR also makes a monoflap now- you can get them off of ebay for about 1k... don't know how the quality is.

Wintecs are not the best. For the same price you could find a better quality used saddle. When your ready to buy one try some of these websites for used saddles.

County, collegiate, HDR, Marcel Toulouse, barnsby, all good brands. Toulouse is my favorite. I got mine about a year ago and it is so soft and comfortable. I'd take this saddle over my sister's $3,000 prestige any day, and it was only $1000.You could find a good used one for probably half that price.
