Do you like this saddle for Ben

I think it looks not to bad, better than the saddle that I would prefer to ride him in, but if this does him better, then I suppose we'll have to go with it.

And just because, here he is with his mane braided

In the 2nd to last pic it looks like it mgiht be sitting on his spine too closely... otherwise it would be a great fit

    ETA: Love the braided mane!

LOL, I just wanted to see what he looked like, so it's just a quick job, but I think he will be alright in a whatever you call a braid like that my mind wont give it to me just at the moment I really don't want to pull his mane yet,if at all.

*running braid :) Do you have pics of the other saddle? I really like the overall fit of the one above, but I think whre it slopes back it will be uncomfortably pushing on his spine

Its quite funny. He's so big he makes it look like a breyers plastic saddle sitting on a real horse. He trumps it.

It looks like the girth should be moved back a bit away from his front legs, it shouldn't be at an angle (maybe the saddle could also be moved back a touch too).

It looks like a decent fit to me. What saddle is that (Stubben I'm guessing)? (just curious). The girth looks too forward. If his girth curve (whatever that part is called :) ) is closer to the front legs you may consider getting a shaped girth.

LOL, this is my only good saddle that isn't a Stubben, this is a Michael Stokes Centaur A really nice saddle, but not the best fit on any of the big guys

Running Braid *face palm* that's it, I think I have pics of the other one, I'll put them up if I have.

I agree about the girth, doesn't look right there does it.

Oh, yes, I remember that saddle. You bought it a year or so back, right? I remember you looked for info on it.

That's one of the saddles I acquired last year

That one is a Wintec 2000 it didn't come with the gullets, but they can be changed, so maybe I need to invest in the kit and see if one of the other gullets works better maybe.

I also bought a Wintec Wide, which is the only saddle that has ever fitted Destiny, and the Thorowgood Maxam, which was a steal of a deal, but wasn't a great fit on anyone, I think I'll get it back off of loan and see if I can get a fitter out from somewhere
