Does anyone know what brand this is?

I know it's a long shot as there is no makers mark or stamp, except for a "4" on the pommel and a "1" on the underside of tree. I know its older, and it has no d-rings. I just bought it for $50, and am curious if anyone recognizes the brand?

Perform a google search on 'Rhino' saddles, the skirt looks like something they would make.....

Trail Saddle for sale in Thurston, Washington :: HorseClicks

Look at this saddle.....it's a Rhino.....just for reference sake

The number 1 is the tree size I believe....if you got it cheap, then you probably got a good deal!

The Black Rhino saddle is an excellent saddle, but I don't see any that look like that one. Waht makes you think it is a BR?

It does, however, look like a very nice saddle and I think you got a great deal there

Haha! I've seen piles of them as I have been intensively looking for a reining saddle to fit my wide-shouldered NEARLY mutton withered reiner! And I came across a few of the BRs and one nearly identical to the OPs saddle. Then I had a second look and the 'all about the horse' saddles which produce or are an extension of BR make these saddles with the short/small skirt and a wide tree to fit stocky horses....haha that's my blurb.....actually I'm getting quite good at knowing my saddles now! And believe me I have been in every nook and cranny of the web looking! I am positive it's a BR, plus BRs put a number 1-4 underneath on the tree to say what size it is, and a number on the horn or pommel for the model I believe.....wow, that was a blurb;)

I would guess it's an older Simco. I don't know why I say that, the tooling pattern maybe.
