Dover Saddlery-Kudos again!

I know some of you have had less than stellar experiences with Dover, but I have to say, I have never been less than pleased.

This is the second time I have had a turnout I purchased there tear. I have had many from there over the years, and have always thought their Riders brand was great (the 1200D ones), never an issue, until this horse. He ripped his sheet within the first month last spring. I called them, told them it was ripped, and without question they sent me a replacement, as well as a prepaid shipping label for the return. They even said to ship it "as is"-so off it went with anotu 10 lbs of mud~!

In the Fall I ordered 2 medium t/o's-Weatherbeeta Oricans, since I wanted a different color, and it was still the 1200D. Again, this guy has ripped it! So, I just called them, and again, without question, they are exchanging it, BUT they are upgrading me to the 1680D at no charge. Now the new one, the Riders brand Northwind, is warrantied for 2 years, so I should be good for a while!

After being in customer service for years, I really appreciate the effort. Just had to give kudos where they are due.

Dover is awesome. I bought my Wylde Jumper bridle from there, for $300, and the next week it fropped down to $150 . I wonder if I can get a price adjustment?

Glad they are taking care of you.

I would shop with them more if I did not always feel like it was a gamble to get their best price. If you do not have every catalog ever issued in front of you, your chances of getting the best 'sale' price on an item are slim to none.

I think if something is on sale it should be on sale. Period. Not just on sale if I happen to have the right catalog in front of me.

I don't even look at the catalogs anymore, just shop on the web. But I do compare (use Bing) prices and theirs seem to be in line with other places.

Dover is the main store I go to for shopping (although I do it in-person, I'm not fan of catalogs when you can't touch what you buy). Personally I never had a bad experience with them.

I love Dover, I had my dad pick up a running martingale for my horse, while he was visiting family in NJ, and he brought it home to me so that I could save the shipping costs. When he brought it to me, I rode in it for about a week, and it wasnt working as good as my standing martingale. so I took it back to the store in Maryland, and no receipt or tags on it, they gave me a full refund.

I love them and their 100% satisfaction guaranteed!
