She's a full draft. I added conchos and the leather was realllly nasty when I poked through it. It smells funky, it's cracking on the outside all over, and the screws are pulling through where the bit attaches. I haven't even used it yet. Kinda scared to....

As a saddler I can tell you - you get what you pay for - the leather cost alone for a bridle is about $60 ( good leather ) and it would take about a day and a half to make. A good bridle would last about 20 years if made and looked after properly so it's worth it in the long run.

I was talking to Jessabel about the size of her horse.

And Back- I wouldn't use a flaky leather headstall! That should be something you can get your money back from the seller - it's defective. Report it to eBay if they won't refund you the money.

I once made a bridle for a shire horse - it's nose circumference was bigger than my waist - I could wear it as a belt !

The browband for my boy is just under 22". I couldn't get the local tack store to believe it until I took it in there and showed them. I was wanting to get a fancy beaded browband.

I'm looking more toward medieval style headstalls. Ever do any of those?

Not cheesy fantasy ones. But more toward the historical side.
