Dressage Girth

I'm searching for a new girth as I just switched over from western to dressage. My trainer is insistent on a Prestige, however I'm wondering what I should look for or what other brands I should consider

Prestige is pretty pricey- if you're looking in that range I'd recommend looking into the County Logic girth. I tried the Prestige Anatomic girth before I bought one of those, but sent it back because the keepers were too far down to keep the billets tucked out of the way (I get picky when I spend that much money ;-))

If you're not all that serious yet and want a more budget friendly option, I was very pleased with SmartPak's Fleece Dressage Girth. I used that for several months before I bought my nice dressage saddle and decide to get the nice girth to go with it!

I have a Prestige and love it. Passier, Amerigo, and Mattes also make really nice ones. If you can, try a few different ones (borrow from your trainer and friends) to see if your horse seems to respond to any of them differently. Some horses don't care what kind of girth you use and some go much better in an anatomic girth vs. a shaped one for example.

I'd also recommend to try as many as you can before buying one (even County Logic is pricey IMHO). I have issue that most girths I tried rub at least one of my mares. :( So I don't have many to chose from.

I love my Wintec Elastic dressage girth. It has some "give" that I love as well as being super easy to clean (You can just rinse it off in the sink). I also love its simplicity, I hate big "anatomic" girths, they get bunched and are just a pain
